Overview
mSATA is a miniaturized SATA interface, commonly used in laptops and embedded devices. The LCSC-TaishanPi-3M development board integrates a MINI-PCIe interface. MINI-PCIe and mSATA have physically compatible interfaces, allowing easy connection of mSATA SSDs to expand storage capacity and improve data transfer speed.
Connecting mSATA SSD
Simply connect the mSATA SSD to the board's MINI-PCIe interface.
Downloading the Corresponding Image
Download our provided .img image file from the Network Disk🚀 in the System Image/Debian12/ directory.
The image used in this document is: TaishanPi-3M-RK3576_Debian12-Xfce_AP6256-mSATA.img
Just look for the image file with
msatain its name.
Flashing the Image to the Development Board
Refer to Finished Image Flashing to flash the downloaded image file to the development board.

After authorizing with either one, you can use the file manager to view storage information and confirm that the mSATA SSD has been recognized by the system and is working properly.
